What we collect
When you complete the quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, town or postcode, the service you have selected and any details you write about the job.
If you call or email instead, we hold the contact details and job information you give us in that conversation.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a visit, carry out the work and issue the relevant certificates.
To keep records of work carried out, which is necessary for certification, notification through NAPIT where Building Regulations apply, and insurance purposes.
Legal basis
We process enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on the basis of legitimate interests in running the business and keeping proper records. Certification and notification records are kept to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. Details may be shared with NAPIT where a job must be notified, and with the software providers used to receive enquiries, send email and store job records. They act on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a reasonable period to answer follow-up questions, then deleted. Records relating to completed work, certificates and invoices are kept for as long as needed for legal, insurance and tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Email jacksonselectricalcontractor@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
